This one is worth reading to the bottom. I promise.
I can tell you that I absolutely love being the middleman in all the giveaways I get to host on All About Cloth Diapers. Our sponsors are crazy generous and I thank my lucky stars every single day that I can work with them. This time it was a little different though. Tidy Tots Diapers asked me to personally select someone who would then get a 12 Diaper Great Start Set valued at $269!! Not just draw a random winner, but actually find one person who could really, truly benefit from a gift of cloth diapers.
It.Was.Hard.
I wanted to try my best to find someone who could really use more cloth diapers. But I also didn’t want to let Sandy down. She is the founder and CEO of Tidy Tots Diapers. She also happens to be one of those truly rare humans who makes a difference in everything she touches.

This was supposed to be for Mother’s Day to say thank you to moms everywhere and let them know they are appreciated. But like I said earlier, it was actually really, really…really hard to choose just one person and has taken me way longer than I wanted to figure out. I’m so sorry for that.
Instead, I’m hopefully going to let her know how much I appreciate her and all she has done for her local community and cloth diaper industry.
To Sandy, her daughter Sara, and their amazing staff at Tidy Tots Diapers… thank you so very much for everything!

In her own words, Sandy said she “decided to turn the page on a successful exit from owning and operating a tech company.” She wanted to make the world a better place for all of its children and future generations. Even though all of her children are grown, she decided to make and sell cloth diapers.
She’s done a tremendous job bringing new families into the cloth diapering world. Sandy understood that there were certain barriers that were stopping parents from considering cloth in the first place. The biggest concerns being that cloth diapers were hard to use and the poop. Sandy sat down and come up with a new, innovative cloth diaper design.

Tidy Tots Diapers are a one size all in two cloth diaper labeled to fit approximately 10-40 lbs. They feature no rise adjustments, organic hemp no fold inserts, wipeable covers, and a unique snap in disposable liner called a Flushie. The Flushie is made of super soft hemp which is biodegradable and makes getting rid of solids a breeze. The inserts arrive FULLY prepped and come with a 30 Day Risk Free Guarantee PLUS a THREE year warranty (practically unheard of in the cloth diaper world).
Tidy Tots Diapers really has tried to think of everything.

Sandy also has a strong desire to support local communities and businesses. Many of her materials are sourced in the US and from other women owned companies. One example of this is Tidy Tots use of Dritz Babyville PUL fabric. You may recognize some familiar prints such as little birds and rawr.

Sandy was determined to manufacturer in New York State to help contribute to the local economy by creating jobs. But in her usual fashion, went one step further. She made the decision to work with a facility that hires and trains individuals with disabilities. Tidy Tots Diapers calls Schenectady ARC’s Pine Ridge Industries home.
Tidy Tots has continued to grow by leaps and bounds! Instead of leaving Pine Ridge Industries to find somewhere else that could handle the larger demand, Sandy and her team actively sought out numerous grants to cover the cost of additional pieces of adaptive equipment (machinery customized for people with disabilities). Now, Tidy Tots can meet their production needs and continue with their mission of helping current staff at Pine Ridge Industries learn and thrive.
Most recently, Tidy Tots switched gears a bit to meet the demand for cloth masks. I purchased a few myself because they are so well and comfy (adult sizes go behind the head instead of the ears). Tidy Tots now offers adult sizes as well as three child’s sizes. They are also donating cloth masks to essential and healthcare workers who are in need.

Every single time I chat with Sandy, I can hear enthusiasm, passion and empathy in her voice. She always lets me know how much she appreciates me. It’s a small gesture, but really makes a world of difference to hear it said out loud.
I am beyond blessed to work with Sandy and Tidy Tots. The cloth diaper industry is lucky to have her in its corner. I can’t applaud her enough for all she has done with her products, for her community and for the future generations of the world.

After all that I almost forgot to tell you who I chose to get the diapers! I hunted through comments on the website, emails I had received, posts on all the social media pages and I choose Erin Hubert. I’ve already chatted with her and she selected the closure and prints she wants. Very soon a Tidy Tots Great Start set valued at $269 will be its way to her. I’m so excited. I know she is as well. I really hope the diapers will be put to good use!
Thank you so very much again to Sandy Beck and Tidy Tots Diapers!
