** Update ** My 2 oz jar of Earth Momma Angel Baby Bottom Balm that I got in November from Amazon just ran out! Not bad for an $8 jar to last 6 months!

You know what makes me really love a product? First, it’s nice when it actually works! But I get really excited when I can use it for more than one thing. Earth Momma Angel Baby Bottom Balm fits the bill on this one.

My daughter has somewhat sensitive skin. We never know what might irritate it. I’ve been using Angel Baby Bottom Balm since my daughter was born with no issues. It has a nice clean scent, not overpowering though. I love that you only need a little to get the job done. One 2 oz jar lasts us about 4 months.

Earth Momma Angel Baby is a company based out of Oregon. You know how I love Made in the USA products. (Not all of our stuff is USA made, but we buy it when we can!)

It is cloth diaper safe, allergy tested, and certified organic by Oregon Tilth. Here is what it is made of:

Olea europaea (organic olive) oil, Butyrospermum parkii organic shea) butter, Euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, Simmondsia chinensis (organic jojoba) oil, Melaleuca alternifolia (organic tea tree), Lavandula angustifolia (organic lavender) flower oil, Calendula officinalis (organic calendula)flower extract, Hypericum perforatum (organic St. John’s wort) flower extract, Stellaria media (organic chickweed) extract, Plantago major (organic plantain) extract, Commiphora myrrha (myrrh)

Just a little bit after every diaper change and it helps keep Sophia rash free.  Bottom Balm works on rashes from acidic poo, heat, or friction. But really, it can be used for any irritation.

Here is my favorite part! It’s not just for baby’s bottom! This will work on anyone’s rashes or boo boos!

Earth Momma Angel Baby’s website says: “The only balm made with organic olive oil infused with a proprietary blend of naturally antibacterial and antifungal organic herbs, shea butter and pure essential oils, soothes thrush, itchy bug bites, scrapes, chicken pox, minor rashes, and burns.”

I agree! Scratches or cuts? Just dab a little on and watch the healing begin!

Have an itch, wipe a little on and stop the scratching!

A blister that won’t go away? Use some of this!

I recommend that you check out Earth Momma Angel Baby’s other amazing products too! I also love their Shampoo & Body Wash, Lotion (which I think smells exactly like a  creamsicle) and Natural Nipple Butter for breastfeeding.

One more thought. Most of the creams and lotions we use today are loaded with chemical names that we can’t pronounce.  Every product that Earth Momma Angel Baby makes was rated a zero for toxins on the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics’ Skin Deep database. If you have time you should check the database out. It contains very interesting information on thousands of other products we use such as cosmetics, face creams, body lotions; even shampoos and conditioners. Check out what you are actually putting on your body and how safe it really is!

My daughter puts everything in her mouth (just like all babies) and she is fast! I try not to use anything she would need her stomach pumped after eating because she grabs for anything I’m using and puts it in her mouth. One day she stuck her finger in my jar of EMAB bottom balm and grabbed a glob and ate it, then tried to go back for more.

So along with everything elese it’s good for, it’s got Regina’s seal of approval for tastiness as well.

    Hi Jennifer!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a heartfelt review of our zero toxin baby products!

Sound like you found some pesky balls in your jar of balm. This is what happens when the cocoa butter gets chilly and bonds together. Don’t you worry, the efficacy is not affected, just warm the balm in your hands before you apply it to that sweet baby bottom, and it will smooth on just like you are used to! (As for it being moldy; there is nothing in there that will cause the product to mold. there is no water in the product, so no ickiness can grow!)

Please don’t hesitate to contact us directly at customercare[at]earthmamaangelbaby[dot]com with any other questions you might have.

    XO,

    Alicia

I’m surprised to hear that Marie T found mold in hers! This is shocking. I am also a HUGE EMAB fan. We have been using this on my daughter (and now son as well) since she was born so we’ve had it in our home for over 2.5 years now and LOVE it! I recommend this product to everyone who is looking for a quality bottom cream! I love that it’s safe with our cloth and I REALLY love that it works. We actually typically notice a major difference in rash after just ONE use! The rash is cleared after just a day or so!

Another intersting tidbit is that we commonly also use the EMAB Nipple Butter for diaper cream instead. ;) It has worked exactly the same for us AND we can find it cheaper! Love this product!

The Baby Bottom Balm is great and cost saving! I’ve been using this for a year ++ and I’m getting a 3rd jar this week. Sometimes its just amusing to see my baby got some heat rash (temporary) on her neck but her bottom is just smooth and rash free all day. Mama Bottom Balm is also a great purchase. I can walk and move at greater ease and speed after just a week delivering my baby.

So I bought the Earth Mama and after using it a couple of times I opened it and it’s FULL of mold. I was really disappointed. I ended up using and loving my Grandma El’s Diaper Cream.

Maria, I’m sorry to hear you had problems. In 17 months, I NEVER had a single problem with any of the bottles of the Bottom Balm. I am glad you were able to find something that works for you! What works for one doesn’t necessarily work for another.

I love their C-Mama salve, too — it worked better on my scars than Mederma!

Laurie, I’ve never tried that. I didn’t even think of it when I was slathering on the mederma after I had my daughter!
