You know what I love about cloth diapering? I’m never bored.  And I never have to worry about money burning a hole in my pocket!

Despite my complete satisfaction in using Kirkland’s Environmentally friendly detergent, I always have this guilt for not using something from a WAHM.

There is something so special about supporting a family, not to mention the pride in using a product that you know was made in the kitchen with the help of the whole family.

When I saw that a “neighbor” had created a natural laundry detergent and one that was perfect for my hard water, I knew I had to try it.

Rockin’ Green Detergent is lovely.  The scent is not overwhelming, but perfectly pleasant.  Before using Rockin’ Green I thoroughly stripped my cloth diapers.  I wanted to make sure to get an accurate assessment of how this detergent works in the long run.

So far I am pleased with the performance.  I always encourage the use of hand-made products.  This is one you won’t be disappointed with.

Before I tell you more about Rockin’ Green I have to tell you a story.  Kim, the GADbaby mama, also sells Green Acre Designs (GADs) cloth diapers.  I always assumed that Kim was the creator of GAD. 

Why? Because she has done an amazing job of establishing herself as the GAD website.  It wasn’t until I clicked on her “contact us” page that I discovered she was simply a lover of GAD cloth diapers.

As a WAHM that runs an internet business and is very familiar with internet marketing, I must say Kim has me impressed.  Not to mention, GAD cloth diapers are arguably the best pocket diaper available and that has me coming back to her website many times a week (to window shop of course ;) ).

Instructions:

  20. 2)My Favorite thing to do with my daughter & one in the womb (due end Sept/Beg Oct) I love when my DD cuddles with me and my belly/her sister. She is even calling my belly “Baby” which gets me very excited and emotional because I grew up with 3 brothers(2 older 1 younger) and never got to grow up with my older sister (Plus there is an age difference). It makes me happy to know that my daughters will be close in age, best friends and love each other. I enjoy the little moments with each.

    1) My fave Cloth diaper at the moment in time would be Fuzzi buns pockets. (I'm new and don't have a big stash) I would love to try Gdiapers with a prefold or these GADbaby dipes sound really good and are cute!

  22. 1. Favorite diaper at the moment Mother Ease we no longer have any leaks, but we have a big cloth diaper butt!

    2. My favorite thing to do with the kids (2 yrs & 8 weeks) would be our evening walk down the dirt road with the baby Owen in the Moby wrap and Isabella in the jogging stroller! We see lots of deer and other fun critters you find roadside out in the boonies :)

  24. It is hard to pick a favorite thing to do with my children, but I guess I would have to say that I really love playing in bed with my two girls in the morning. It is rare that we get to do this as I work 4 days a week, plus my older DD (6 yrs. old) has school 7 days a week if you count Sunday school. Both girls like to laze around in the morning and we love to just cuddle and tumble when we get the chance. Thank goodness for summer vacation!

  25. My DD is a heavy wetter. I have tried BGs and they worked for a while. I am into Softbums now (per Autumn;s suggestion) but Sarah, herself, says they can't be overstuffed (which I need for nights). So, after reading Diaper Pin reviews, I would like to try Very Baby Simply Nights as I've heard fitteds work well for nights since they offer more coverage, and I like that there is a fleece lining to keep the skin dry. Hoping to sell off the BGs to fund one of these new ones.

  26. Our favorite diapers are pockets, but it is a toss up between Bumgenius 3.0 and GADs. I really would like to try the bumgenius organics…I bet they are so soft!

  27. My favorite things to do with my kids is to curl up and read a book together. From 2 to 9, they all love this too.

  28. My favorite cloth diapers happen to be ones I have made recently. They are pockets with Alova Suedecloth as an inner and PUL as the outer. I have extended the rise and tabs to fit my son and love them. He is 27 months and no where near potty training, so these will last a while.
    I would love to try GADbaby's pockets or any other pocket that is trim and easily adjustable. I prefer snaps over velco and like fitted back and legs.

  32. I just purchased some of the detergent last week. I have used it once so far. I got some sampler pkgs of the vanilla buttercream and ocean rain. they smell delish! kim was great to work with and was quick to answer my questions. im currently waiting on some new bamboo inserts and then the detergent will be put to the ultimate test!

  40. I just got a new bike, so taking A out for a ride is so nice. I get some exercize and she laughs and talks and points to all the things she can see behind me. Also, We love to swim in out pool. Keeps us cool and she LOVES to kick her feeties!

  52. My baby hasn't arrived yet, so I don't have a favorite cloth diaper. I'm planning on using prefolds with thirsties covers but would also like to try the gdiapers and gro baby system.

They also are super for overnight diapers for my son, who is a heavy wetter. You lay your inserts or prefolds in it, so I guess it's an all in two? I found her on Hyenacart when I was looking for a baby wrap (she has gorgeous ones). I think she also is on Etsy.

    The one I'm super curious to try is the GroBaby diaper in snaps. They look very nice. I could use something a little more convenient than tie dipes or prefolds when going out.

  77. Recently, I have fallen in love with taking my kids on bike rides. I still don't have a buggy for my youngest, but I will occasionally ride with my middle baby to preschool and then enjoy a quiet ride home. The summer weather is here and any time of day is great for a bike ride! I also enjoy walking and/or jogging along with them while they ride their bikes, since I have a nice jogging stroller and my little man can come too!

  80. I really enjoy being with my daughter on our farm. We enjoy feeding the animals, driving the miniature horse around in our little buggy, and watching daddy harvest the crops. The farm is truly a great place to spend time as a family.

I love to visit the local zoo with my (3 yo) son and (1 yo) daughter… It's a very small zoo that can be gone through in about an hour… They love it and I love that it is something to do in the morning before I leave for work and I love know it will never take us too long to do the entire zoo… It also has a great playground and picnic area right outside the doors… It's FABULOUS!

  107. My favorite cloth diaper is the MEOS in bamboo. It is so soft, and with an added doubler it is very absorbant! I love that it has no elastic so it doesn't leave marks on baby's thighs.

    I want to try a GAD now. I've always seen them but never taken the plunge to try one. :)

  123. 1) My favorite cloth diaper is the Coolababy pocket. It works just as well as my BG, and as a bonus it has snaps! Perfect for my kid who likes to roll around and nighttime and has a tendency to peel the BG’s right off her body in doing so.

    Bedtime is my favorite time with my five kids.
    We read and then the kids take turns saying the prayer and tell me what their highlight of the day was.
    Then I get to rock the baby to sleep…So peaceful

  127. My favorite thing to do with my kids is something we do every day… dancing & singing! My daughter loves to spin around until she falls down while we sing and her little brother loves to watch & giggle along. Nothing I love more than watching my beautiful kids having a great time!

  129. My favorite diaper so far (we’ve only been CDing for two months) is Happy Heiny one size with snaps. They fit both my thin 22 month old daughter & my chunky monkey 3 month old son just perfectly!

  132. It’s so hard to pick a favorite cloth diaper. So far of the ones I have I probably go to my BumGenius one size pocket diapers first. I just got some haute pockets in the mail and can’t wait to try them. I love trying new ones the GADbaby ones come in so many pretty colors!

It seems that every moment spent with them is awesome (most of the time!) but I love love love playing outside with them in the fall and winter (it’s so darn hot here that summer kills me!) and visiting outdoor festivals. Experiencing new things through your children’s eyes has easily got to be one of the BEST things about parenthood! Daddy told me that, and he was so right!

    As far as “want to try”…..there are a few, despite the MANY I’ve tried, but Blueberry, Rumparoos, and GADs are all ones I’ve heard great things regarding, yet I’ve never tried.

  163. I'm so new to cloth diapering, its hard to pick a favorite diaper because I've only used each for a few months. Can I say a tie between my haute pocket diaper and my bum geniuses? I've been adding to my stash very slowly and buying mostly pre-loved and second quality diapers, so I'd be so excited to get a first quality unused diaper! There are so many I want to try–GAD baby, Swaddlebees, bamboo fitteds. Someone should warn you that this stuff is so addictive!!

I really have no screaming desire to brand out from what we have (which is a little bit of everything), but I would like to try the Gro-Baby someday.   172. It’s gonna sound kinda “buttkissy” but GAD’s seriously are my FAVORITE pocket diaper. After the first one I tried, I got an addiction, and within weeks had added I think 8 to my collection. I have sense bought more, because they really are the BEST out there. They last longer than any of my diapers, and very rarely leak, and only if it’s my fault and left it on too long. LOVE MY GADS!!!

  173. I’m new to CD, but we have gdiapers, BumGenius pockets, & FuzziBunz pockets. I want ot try the BumGenius AIO next and the gdiapers with the prefolds. Plus I REALLY want to try the Green cloth diaper detergent. I’m currently using BioKleen and like it pretty well.

    My favorite thing to do with my kids is take them to our cabin. It’s simple, not a lot of toys or distractions. No phone, no tv, just music to dance to and lots of time to be one on one (or in our case, 2 on 3!). We go for walks, visit the neighbors, throw rocks in the creek, hike to the lake, & ride quads. It’s a beautiful life! We even recently installed a washing machine which is run by batteries. We can do cloth at the cabin now!!

  176. I love to go to the beach with my kiddos. My dd (5yrs) and ds (11mo) are huge sand and water lovers!! They have the best time and as a result so do I :)
