I Found A New Cloth Diaper Store!

Today I get to learn all about a new (to me) store right along with you!  I love spreading my cloth diaper $$ around to various stores as a way to show my support to these lovely WAHM businesses.

Tell us about your family.

I have two wonderful kids, ages 5 and 2, and a loving husband.  We also have two kitties and live in Elk Grove, California, a suburb of Sacramento.

When did you start using cloth diapers?

I never thought much about cloth diapers until people on my online chat forum started mentioning how they were using cloth.  I became interested and did some research, and when my daughter was one, I made the switch!  A couple of years later with my son I had wanted to start from day one, but he was born at 26 weeks and in the NICU for a few months.  The hospital didn’t allow cloth diapers, but as soon as he got out, we used cloth.  We’re still using them as he begins to potty train.

Why did get into the business of selling of cloth diapers?

I love diapers!  They are squishy, cute, and addicting!  I knew once I started using cloth, that I wanted to tell others about how easy cloth was to use and wanted to keep learning more about it.  Creating a cloth diaper store was the perfect opportunity to blend my love of interacting with people and cloth.  I wanted to have a store that would allow people to buy well known brands, but also give WAHM a chance to showcase their products and get their name out.  I also thought from a customer’s perspective about what I would want a store to have and tried to incorporate that into mine.

Why should parents choose your store when purchasing cloth diaper and accessories?

There are a lot of online cloth diaper stores!  I put my heart and soul into this- it’s not just a business to me, but it’s my life.  I strive to do what I can to work with people one on one to answer questions and to help them find the best products for them based on their needs.  The site is user-friendly and we have so many options such as a rental program that’s customizable, quality used diapers, a layaway program, a gift registry, loyalty rewards points, and active facebook page, newsletter with discount codes, and so much more.  Kissed by the Moon is a community and we are active with giveaways and blogs, as well as events.  We will be hosting the Great Cloth Diaper Change locally where we hope to spread the word about cloth diapers!

What is your favorite product?

This is a tough one because there are so many exceptional products!  I adore Fuzzibunz, GroVia, and bumGenius for day use, and Rumparooz is what we use at night.  My favorite wet bags and pail liners are Leslie’s Boutique and Planet Wise, and CJ’s is hands down the best for diaper rash cream.  We use it on my son’s legs for eczema and he can’t wait to put it on!

What is your go-to advice for parents new to cloth diapering?

My advice would be to experiment with a few brands and types to find out which you love before investing in one kind.  Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions- moms who cloth diaper are usually passionate about cloth and love to help out!  I’m learning new things daily- there’s just so much to learn when it comes to diapers!
