I learned that I’m not the only one who believes that you can teach an infant to poop on the toilet from Go Diaper Free! I think my hubby thought I was a bit insane when I told him that I’ve started putting our 5 3/4 month old son on the toilet to poop. I haven’t even bothered telling my parents yet that we’re starting with ‘toilet training’ if you will yet because they often question my sanity when it cones to my parenting choices (i.e.: cloth diapering, baby wearing, banning use of CIO sleep training).

    2. EC is all about you, the parent…not so much about your baby. She’s just born wanting this. You are learning it. And you’ve never probably done it before. So, whether you do it part-time or all the time, your commitment, potty attitude, and consistency during the times you do do it are key to your team’s success. We don’t get the knowledge of EC handed to us by our grandparents…we need to learn it and put effort into beginning it.–this is what stands out to me from godiaperfree

The most common signal? Sudden fussiness.

My favorite from Mom’s Milk Boutique is definitely CJs. We have the original butter, the spritz, and the stick. The original butter we have smells like cookies and sits in my livingroom (don’t judge lol) for easy access. When we pack the diaper bag the spritz and stick are always added. My little one has eczema and this stuff is miraculous. Most other lotions and skin products make his skin worse, but CJs not only improves it but he smells like sugar cookies to boot!

I used the Thirsties diaper cover (with the velcro tabs) for our newborn. It was a “pre-loved” diaper rental. 2 of the 4 covers had much more worn-out velcro, but all in all it worked really well for us. Very easy for Grandparents and sitters and folks accustomed to disposables. They were paired with Kissaluvs fitteds, and we never had a blow out.

Hi Natalie! It all depends on your budget. My all time favorite diapers are Ragababe but they are at the top end of the price spectrum. Blueberry and Imagine (niki’s Diapers) are good mid range diapers.
