You want well made? Check. You want super absorbent? Yup, it’s got that too. How about cute prints? For sure! Two of KangaCare’s most popular products had a baby to create what is now the Rumparooz OBV Pocket Diaper. It combines the crazy absorbency of the EcoPosh OBV OS fitted and the ease of the Rumparooz One Size Diaper.

I received this diaper from my friend Jessica over at The Green Tot Spot. I highly recommend you check them out! My top two favs about The Green Tot Spot is the free shipping at $5 and their top notch selection. All of the products they carry are high quality and ones that I would use in my own home. They also have rewards points, a gift registry, and a cloth diaper rental program (awesome way to try before you buy!) Make sure you check out The Green Tot Spot!

The Rumparooz OBV Pocket Diaper features a waterproof outer that is made from TPU. I personally find that covers made from TPU vs PUL are softer to the touch and more pliable. Really though, both types get the job done just fine.

The cloth diaper inner is a luxurious, soft bamboo velour. I mean really, it’s nice stuff. You can just see and feel the quality. The elastic is good and stretchy. The overall feel of the diaper is that it’s made really well with quality materials. The patented inner double gussets are amazing! You’d never really have to worry about anything sneaking out. That makes this a great diaper for any baby, but especially for those who are exclusively breastfed. Breastmilk poo is often runny, so the double gussets are worth their weight in gold.

The Rumparooz OBV Pocket Diaper is a one size diaper that is labeled to fit from 6 -35 lbs with four rise snap selections. I have to say that I can’t see this fiting to 35 lbs. Norah is 29 lbs and she only has one snap left to go on the waist. The rise is let all the way out as well. While great for babies up to around 30 – 32 lbs, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this as an option for large or older toddlers.

She was obviously not feeling the photo shoot. I’m not a professional photographer, but you get the point :)

It’s actually fairly trim for how much absorbency is in there.

This diaper really shines with its absorbency. It comes with a 6r soaker set made out of organic cotton and rayon from bamboo. That is a one size bamboo fleece insert combined with a newborn bamboo fleece insert. There are SIX ways you can snap them together depending on your needs, hence the name 6r. Together they have a combined 8 layers of absorbency. Since the inner of the diaper is also made of organic bamboo it adds even more absorbing power for a total of 18 oz. I forgot to test each insert separately, I’ll have to do that and add this to my absorbency tests. Make sure you check that out to see where the Rumparooz OBV Pocket Diaper fits in.

This has been marketed as a night time option. I would agree this would work for nights if you have a light wetter to moderate wetter. Heavy wetters should look elsewhere for night options. The total 18 oz is still a crazy good amount making this a great option for naps or long car rides for any baby. And obviously a great day diaper as well!

The Rumparooz OBV Pocket Diaper is a bit on the spendy side retailing for $34.97. However, you are getting what you pay for here. Organic material. It’s put together well. The whole thing is just quality. Rumparooz is a great brand that has been around for a long, long time. I hope you check this one out. It’s worth it.
