I am T.I.R.E.D!
Should I still be tired from yesterday’s Great Cloth Diaper Change event? It’s not everyday that I wake up at 6:30!
I’m a wimp. But, I had a lot of fun so it was completely worth it.
My assistant was a life saver! There were so many parents who knew nothing and we explained it all. On one of the news stations Friday morning they ran a segment on cloth diapers promoting the event. This brought dozens of parents out to learn more about the world of cloth.
I am grateful for the reader that suggested I take cloth diapers for “decoration”. Wow was that ever a hit! I’m sure you remember as a newbie how important it was to get your hands on a real cloth diaper. It’s not the same when you look at one online.
I gave away 3 Ultimate Guide to Cloth Diapers and handed out excerpts to many. I pray I was able to help parents better understand about cloth diapers and make their transition smooth.
There are no official numbers but in San Antonio 73 cloth diapers were changed. On the Great Cloth Diaper Change Facebook page many have posted their location and numbers:
- Spokane, WA 40
- Virginia Beach @ Diaper Junction 59
- OKC 105!
- Champaign, IL 62
- Clairmont, CA 62
- San Diego 52 (Happy Heiny’s/Baby Frenzy location)
- Victoria BC, Canada 32
- San Diego 128
And only 390+ more locations that aren’t listed! Many didn’t have the 25 minimum limit. That would be disappointing to not count but I’m sure they had fun meeting other cloth diaper parents.
Here are some pictures from the San Antonio Event.
Me, Camden, Kyndall and Lola.
Kyndall is a long time reader and it was a JOY to meet her!
Documentation purposes only! iPhone is a terrible camera.
Before the change we raised the cloth diapers. After the change we raised the babies.

The San Antonio location wouldn’t have happened without the hard work from Kim of Rockin Green, Eden’s Baby and others! (please tell me if you are one of the “others” so I can link you!!)

Autumn is a wife, mother, homeschool teacher, friend and most important a follower of Christ.

Hello!
I am a regular reader/subscriber of your blog and really enjoy it! Thank you for all the great info you give out about cloth diapering! It’s been very helpful!
I purchased the downloadable version of Ultimate Guide to Cloth Diapers about a year and a half ago. My computer recently crashed and I lost everything, including UGtCD. :( I was wondering… is there a way I would be able to download it again without re-purchasing it? I would be so grateful!
Thank you,
Jennifer

Small world! My friend Ginni and Chelsea were there. I know Ginni was helping organize it as well. We went to our Syraucse NY location and Ev’s butt was all over the news!

We went to the Great Cloth Diaper Change in Kearney, NE. So cool to see other moms who cloth diaper. Hope this leads more people to think about and ask more questions about cloth. We had lots of fun and will definitely do it again next year.

I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to make it! I was acutally in SA this wknd for a girlfriend’s wedding, but since I had volunteered to help her with everything and the wedding was at 1, there was no way it was gonna work :( It would have been GREAT to meet you and Kim… I love both your sites and visit often! I’m glad you had a great turnout!!!

There was an cloth diaper changing event here in Waco, Tx, but as my baby is yet to be born (2 weeks or so, hopefully), I have no baby to change! Hopefully, someone who was there will be able to give some numbers, though.
But, I have 2 friends coming over today and we are going to sew some diapers! Isn’t that exciting! Sewing with friends!

I wanted to go, but my son really isn’t in diapers anymore, and my baby isn’t going to be born for another couple of weeks. I was sewing more prefolds for this little one, and too tired to do much of anything that was more physically strenuous. So I’m excited to have a CDing baby to bring next year!

We had a great time at our location at Earth Day Omaha! We had 40 mom’s and babies participate! It was pretty chilly, but none of the babies complained – they’re champs! I can’t wait until next year to do it all over again!
