Take the #SwitchToSustainable Challenge in July!

It’s Plastic Free July and I am super excited to have been asked to help host this giveaway and event.  Plastic Free July is a BIG DEAL and my friends at Balm Baby go all out every single year to make sure as many people as possible have the support and encouragement to make sustainable choices and ditch the plastic and disposable products used in their everyday lives.  To help make the switch as fun and exciting as possible we have planned some BIG festivities! Join in the fun with our annual #SwitchToSustainable Challenge + Giveaway & Facebook Party!

So, what are the Switch to Sustainable Challenge Details:

1)  Fill out the form!  The challenge will start Monday, July 13 and end Friday, July 31, 2015. Form must be filled out & filled out >>HERE<<(it’s short).
2)  Switch one thing either within your household or your place of business within the month of July that helps you to live a more sustainable {and natural} lifestyle.
3)  Post a picture to your Instagram OR Facebook AND TAG #SwitchToSustainable
4)  Make sure you ALSO enter the GIVEAWAY via Rafflecopter (SEE BELOW). We added a giveaway to show our appreciation for the support of you taking the challenge.

Giveaway Details & Rules:

There are 8 Prize Packs each worth $150 or more with a Total of over $1300 in Prizes!

1)  Complete the challenge and giveaway entries.  (all entries will be triple checked and verified)
2)  Be PRESENT at the Facebook Party on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 * 7pm PST * 8pm MST * 9pm CST * 10pm EST > CLICK HERE to RSVP
3)  If you win a Prize Pack, you must like / follow / visit ALL Sponsors in that Prize Pack! So it would be a good idea to take a few minutes and complete ALL the entries (this way you’ll gain more entries as well!)

WHY Take the #SwitchtoSustainable Challenge?

Living a more sustainable lifestyle will help reduce waste in our personal environments, as well as our global environments, thus restoring a balance to our planet {that is MUCH needed}.

We need your help in order to make an impact and undo some of the damage we’ve done.  Together when we take baby steps to living more sustainably we create the change we so desire.  If every single one of us just made 1 switch, it would make a HUGE difference; for our generation, all generations to come & for our Planet! Let’s do THIS!

Get Informed! Be Part of the solution!

Switch Ideas:

  • Switch from plastic disposable diapers to cloth diapers. Even one diaper switched for cloth per day can save 365 disposable diapers per year from landfills!
  • Switch Single Use Items in your household or place of work to Reusable items.  Reusable snack bags and sandwich wraps are affordable and easy to care for! Drink coffee?  Reusable K-Cups are a must!
  • Switch to using recycled materials where you can.  Are you a business that ships packages?  Commit to reusing packing supplies like mailers, boxes, bags and bubble wrap!
  • Switch from plastic water bottles, to re-usable stainless steel or glass water bottles.  Reusable bottles typically keep drinks colder and/or hotter for longer so don’t delay, make the switch!
  • Switch from single use (or a few time use) containers to more sustainable ones (ie stainless steel or glass food containers).  These are great too, because they won’t leach, keeping you & your Fam Safe!
  • Switch from buying single packaged products to Buying in BULK.  Take your re-usable containers in to fill up.  I LOVE this because I don’t have to transfer my bulk items to containers after I get home..I just unload from the car straight into the pantry…reduces time too (aka “more sustainable”)
  • Switch items with plastic material to more sustainable materials (glass, stainless steel, wood, clay, fabric, aluminum, etc.)  Reusable shopping bags are popular and super affordable.  Ditch those plastic bags and switch to reusable shopping bags once and for all!

Feel free to switch as MANY things as you’d like (just don’t overwhelm yourselves!). Baby Steps Peeps! Don’t stress or overthink this! I know it can be intimidating sometimes, so just focus on your one little baby step at a time.

I have yet to try so many of these brands, including Balm Baby. I strive so hard to be as all natural as possible, especially where my kiddos are concerned, but it’s just so darn expensive! It would be such a treat to win anything that’s being given away for this!
